Out of the house, into the wind

The Ventum 3.0 turbine was successfully relocated from our headquarters to Sola on Friday, October 29th.

We successfully relocated the V 3.0 prototype to Sola on Friday, October 29th, and placed in a designated location for optimal wind and weather exposure. Everything was set up and installed on the day, and the turbine’s official testing and data collection has begun.

The location was chosen for its high exposure to wind and the prospect of leaving the turbine in place for an extended length of time.

This is real-life testingrather than controlled testing in a wind tunnel, so the turbine will remain in Sola for at least two months. The data acquired during the testing will be utilized to specify the turbine’s output at various wind speeds and to aid in the efficiency improvement of the present design.
