Ventum Dynamics Group (VDG) seeks a Head of Production and Logistics.

Ventum Dynamics – a leading authority in innovative wind technology and manufacturer of the world’s first on-demand, omnidirectional, and placement friendly rooftop wind turbine for commercial buildings, seeks a Head of Production and Logistics.

As our new Head of Production and Logistics, you will be responsible for the production, logistics, and initially also customer care of Ventum Dynamics. This covers everything from sourcing, production, storage, and delivery of the different Ventum wind turbines. The main task is to set up and manage the necessary outsourced manufacturing capacity around the world to support an exceptional growth of the different sizes of the Ventum wind turbines.

You will oversee the complete supply chain until the wind turbines are delivered to the installation sites. You will report to the CEO of the company and be a member of the management team. In addition, you will work closely with Sales, as well as R&D.

Key areas of responsibilities and accountabilities

In the role as Head of Production and Logistics, you will establish the supplier network which is necessary to support the business of Ventum and to ensure enough capacity globally to support the fast growth which is planned for Ventum Dynamics. You will need to build a small agile and fast-moving organisation.

The main tasks are to:

  • Create the future supply chain for the company and establish the necessary contacts within the relevant industries to fulfil the growth strategy of the company.
  • Minimise the supply risk by developing a multiple sourcing strategy.
  • Monitor the supply chain capacity, and follow up on delivery performance and quality in the supply chain.
  • Conduct cost reduction activities and validate that they are in line with the plant sourcing budget.
  • Work-out ideas together with the management team and implement these ideas to generate savings but also to scale the capacity up/down in accordance with the demand.
  • Ensure that suppliers monitor the CO2 footprint and fulfill their tasks to ensure documented improvements to reduce the global footprint.
  • Implement a SOP process to ensure the promises given to the customers are fulfilled.
  • Present monthly updates to the management team on the sourcing activities and results.
  • Continuously improve the supplier’s wrongful deliveries Per Million (MPM) and the overall supply cost.
  • Handle and act to avoid any supply crisis and make sure that the proper escalation is made. Prioritize local resolution of issues and escalate to the CEO when needed.
  • Make sure that all relevant suppliers and parts information are available and ensure proper ordering, invoicing & cost control.
  • Select/build and manage the partners for the outsourced regional warehouses.
  • Work closely with R&D to secure save transition into production.

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s in engineering – preferable within manufacturing and/or supply chain management
  • Knowledge of the most critical manufacturing processes:
    – Injection moulding
    – Thermoforming
    – Electrical assembly
    – Packing and assembling processes.  
  • Experience with the setting up and scaling of a supplier organization.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written) is mandatory
  • Confirmed negotiations skills

Experience:

  • 7 to 15 years of experience in Supply chain and production management
